True, but be honest, doesn’t that Dairy Doodle Dandy bring back some sweet childhood memories?

Frazz eats unhealthy food? I would have never thought it could happen!(But he does seem to have a big heart.)

Poor kid. Remember when Caulfield popped the bag in class to try to cheer her up when she was so sad because of her parents? I think her name is Allison.

There’s a Dairy Queen in Charlotte that still has a grinning Eskimo holding a Dilly Bar on top of it. Sadly all of the Tastee-Freezes I knew of are gone.

In the Air Force it was F4 tape and safety wire.

I drove a Mr. Softee truck one summer, but that and Dairy Queen and Tastee Freez aren’t real ice cream..“My daddy was the manager of a Howard Johnson’s!”.When I was a kid, there was a local dairy that did their own ice cream. But my favorite was when we made our own at home, using a hand-cranked freezer. 8^)

One of my favourite episodes of “The Twilight Zone” was where a little girl went shopping, all the while her original parents were bickering and fighting all along – until the show’s climax, where the original parents stop bickering and fighting, learning an important, painful lesson.

My parents fought – not just verbal, but physical, violent fighting – and I have demons (some may call it PTSD) that I have to cope with every day.

Ice cream is a very temporary measure, but nothing beats love. Sadly, love seems to be in short supply and hate seems to be dolloped out in big scoops these days….

pumamanI had a friend who was an artillery spotter in Korea. He was prowling around in the back of his T-6 and found a notice that his plane was to be removed from service as no longer airworthy.

Hmmm. I wonder if there was a connection.
