Our dogs aren’t so subtle. The weary get NO rest when "IT"S TIME!!" As to leash in the mouth, I’ll never forget when I first saw a dog walk himself into the examining room at the vet’s. A golden (of course!), when called, jauntily took his leash in his mouth and followed his person into the room for his shot or whatever. Gave his person and me quite a kick.
