Two favorite cat names, given by other peoples’ kids:Bill Murray and Noodle.

My cats names, given by my kids: Lucille Desiree Ball (Lucy) and Motley Crue (Motley).

You can call your cat whatever you want, but the only thing they will respond to is the sound of a can opener.

My poor cats have never had fancy names…Orange, Blue, Sneakers, Bear, Kitten Kitten, Smokey, SweetPea, Little, Big, etc… Freddog, Jesse, Blackberry and Nutmeg for the canines.

Miscreant pictured to the left has lived up to his name. It is appropriate for a cat. At least besides being an exterminator he is also a momma’s boy too. He gets in plenty of trouble but makes up for it in affection.

Ours have been: Spot, Buckwheat, Spuds, Misty, Morgan, Casper, Molly, Moose, Scooter, Casper, Molly and Puddin’ Pop.

I was told that Max is the most popular name. Obviously, it is not. When you find a good name stay with it – Cafe au lait, Cafe Latte, and Cafe Mocha.

A cat has no name. I’m surprised there’s not more Game of Thrones named pets out there considering how popular the show is.

Misty is the current Feline Overlord :-)

Ruff and Tumble were sisters and I wanted a ‘pair’ of names, I was shouted down by my late sister when I said I was going to name them Furball and Fleabag ;-)

My late sister had two cats, Tigger and Shade, who’s names morphed over time to Wiggs and Spud :-)

I’ve had: Wendy (who joined a feral colony wearing a new stone encrusted collar), Jenny-fur, Freckles, Tiger, Jenny-fur II, Max. Tilly, Guillermo, and my Companion Of The Night, The late Great Toshie (my forever love).

This is Dominoes, the cat I had in childhood. My mother named him for little white spots on his feet. I called at various times Rowl Catstro (for Arizona’s governor at the time) and Meow Tse Tung.

This is a photo of my late Chairman MeowHe liked the armchair and had a meow that could wake me during the night from outside the back door.

Cats have been: Prince Charles, Miss Kitty Girl, Big Grey and EdDogs have been Mr Doodle and Teddy Bear

I’ve had Bub, who was the mother of Tuffy, Fuzzy and Simon. Then along came Babe. In Boston now are Timon, Bear, Cass and Patrick, and the UK boys are of course Big Man and Bucky.

Dogs:Windsor and Sedona (both named after locations). Cats:Pumpkin (orange tabby we got at Halloween)Cali (a Calico, that was the first pet I named, real original)Dobby (from Harry Potter, even though I think the cat is actually female)

Cats (as a kid) Velvet, Tiger and Fluffy.Dogs: Mischief (Missy), Muffin, Saucy and Moxie (current).

Vigdis and Ara (2 sisters, although poor little Ara never made it past kittenhood, she had FIV).

Now I have my 2 boys Muezza and Dabdoob.

My sister’s cats are Sniffles (because she was found all wet and cold in the rain and was sniffle-y for a while) and Acadia (because he was found inside an Acadia at the car dealership where her husband works)
