Speaking of slow kids………and Susan wasn’t fast, she was studious………..pity.

Aw Bev….I almost wish!Mind you, I did say “almost.”If you mean what I think you mean…and I think Rose also thinks you mean what I think you mean, so you probably do….she’s right.At Elliot’s age, I was the opposite of fast….so slow it was pathetic.And yes, studious.I didn’t own a clue.

Of course, later…well, let’s just say the world changed, and I changed with it.

Meanwhile…. Tony…I have no kids… fast slow or in between.I do have to say that some kids are too fast these days…but I think every generation says that about the ones after.

Must be part of the plan….like cats weaning their kittens…humans are programmed to dislike their children’s clothes, music and habits.

As to the strip… I think Elliot’s got it wrong.It’s discrimination against slow children….publicly pointing them out for people to gawk at isn’t very nice.

@Tony“Do you have fast kids?”No, but I am one. I do have fast parents, though. My 50 year-old mom ran 3:41 in her first ever marathon last year.

I’ve always took “slow” to be in the mental sense of the word, the PC version of “mentally retarded”, and I wondered how they could get by with having signs saying “mentally retarded children at play”.

In Germany, at construction sites:“Betreten verboten – Eltern haften für ihre Kinder” – “Do not enter – Parents are legally responsible for their children”

All my kids have paws. So, yes, they are fast.

Nah, just the smart ones…..
