I guess this may be the way democracies self destruct. The will of the uninformed and biased wins the day and the country goes down the tubes.

So what is this cartoon attempting to say? What…racism destroy democracy? What racism is he referring to? And why is anything that doesn’t agree with a liberal agenda called racism? True racism destroys anything it touches. Agreed. But I don’t see much sign of it in the US today.

The fear of the chicken hawks who want endless global wars, then cower when the countries they destroy need a place for their citizens with no homes. Crying immigration when we wouldn’t have as great a need if we tried to stop the wars and global warming. The fact is the right wing agenda pushes a scenario that they are the least comfortable with. Because they have been voting against their self-interest for years, Trump now seems like a viable choice. Racism is what powered the Brexit, racism is what is powering Trump’s campaign. It is not just that the Brexit is different from the “liberal agenda” it is that it was done with racial undertones.

Interesting bigots are the loudest in objecting to folks recognizing racism and xenophobia for what it is.

Radish! I remember those signs and similar around the South mid-60’s. They were elsewhere as well, even in places around San Franscisco!

It’s actually not mere racism that disturbs the Brits, Steve, it’s an absolute refusal to assimilate on the part of Islamic immigrants. “Overt, unapologetic racism” goes both ways, and it is tacitly clear that everywhere in the Western world you have large-scale Muslim immigration, you have a permanent class of unassimilated, angry, resentful potential conquerors. So, I ask about the cartoon, does it represent the racism of the Asians and Africans towards the native British as they throw stones at the Union Jack?

When all you have is a rock labelled “racism”, you throw it at everything, whether it makes sense, or not.

    Take a chill pill..

The “identity” of the UK is not “threatened” by the EU. The vast majority of laws that apply to Great Britain are considered and passed in its own London-located Parliament, not in Brussels. .

Even this referendum can be nullified by its Parliament, if it so chose to do so under UK law..

More beer-headed hallucinantions from the Far Right.

And now 3.5 million Brits have signed a petition for a do-over.

You accelerate from zero to triple zero when I dare challenge your right-wing orthodoxy. .Having arrived there, you are then obviously unable to recognize ideas as being ideas unless they agree with your own ideas. What a convenient, simpleton way of dealing with the world..Overt, unapologetic, anti-immigrant racism was at the heart of the “leave” contigent’s propaganda blitz.

.You would have known that had you engaged in any meaningful reading—although reading probably causes you to break out in hives.

Yes, the ethnic Indian Priti Patel and all the other non white working class Brits who voted for Brexit are totally racist. .Makes me wonder why the Imperialist States of Amerikastan has a “special relationship” with a country over half of whose voting population is racist.

Makes you wonder why the Imperialist States of Amerikastan has a “special relationship” with a country over half of whose voting public is allegedly racist. Assuming you believe this cartoon knows what it’s talking about.

Racist practices by the U.S. never kept it from engaging in slave trading and various other relations with certain nations that the U.S. thought were economically and strategically beneficial..

Scrolling ahead to the present, the U.S. is clearly willing to look the other way with regard to ongoing gross human rights violations being committed by China. They hold a lot of our debt and we appreciate their cheap labor and products..

So much for taking the higher moral ground with regard to our choice of partners and allies.

I’m your fan, Mr. Benson. But you have left me in the dark on this one. Just realized flag fragments look like the Union Jack, not Stars and Stripes. Sorta get it. Okay.
