Obviously Frazz is not a fan of sugary soda. But butter can be just as deadly used unwisely.

Sugar may convert to fat, but butter is already fat.

Butter phobia is stupid……people eat cheese by the pound, but are afraid of a pat of butter on their baked potato…

Don’t waste the butter. Get a thermometer.

If the sidewalk doesn’t work, try the hood of a car.

After yesterday’s strip I checked the temp of the sidewalk in front of my house periodically with an infrared thermometer.. The hottest it got was 140 degrees in the hottest part of the day, still 18 degrees short of Frazz’ target temp for ‘fried eggs a la sidewalk’.

when I was a kid I lived in Glendale Arizona and a store did a gimmick and put down tinfoil and fried eggs on the sidewalk…..don’t know if they cheated but it didn’t look like it to me…or feel like it either.

Why not try putting an iron skillet out there and see if it gets hot enough to fry an egg—at least then you could EAT the egg.

At least, they’re calling it pop and not soda. A soda is made with ice cream, soda water and flavoring in a tall glass.

At the Iowa state fair they sell deep fried butter on a stick.

I have never felt the urge to try it, but supposedly it’s pretty good

As if butter is making the sidewalk hotter. Try to color the concrete darker, so the fusion powered radiation source gets better receiving.
