Caulfield: I hate going in and out of stores when they crank their air conditioning. Freeze. Thaw. Freeze. Thaw. Freeze. Thaw. I could develop potholes!
Frazz: You're more resilient than pavement.
When I was in high school, I worked for an everything-but-groceries store in Southern California. I was In and out of the store all day. I caught a cold every August going between the 70 degrees indoors and the 90 to 100 outdoors.
When I was in Singapore it was even worse, with the humidity in the air every time I got out of a building or a taxi my glasses woul fog out and I couldn’t see for a good 30 seconds. It was embarassing when I was with a client so I took them off when it happened. I would see blurs, but at least I wouldn’t walk around with white glasses.
Went to college in a desert community. I would go from triple digits outside to something like 65 degrees in the classrooms. I usually took a sweater to wear in classes!
you should try living in Arizona. burned my hand on the car door handle more than once, chill out inside with the air conditioning, then get heat blasted when you have to exit the car. Try running errands like this!

It’s o.k. Caulfield is on the road to Findout—if Cat Stevens is to be believed. His persistence will go the distance where resilience is a must.

“You’re more resilient than pavement.”.Not if you drive a car over both.

Honestly, in the summer I won’t eat at a restaurant that doesn’t have outdoor seating (unless I have the foresight to bring my winter jacket).

And more annoying than potholes.
