Our theater tries to get everyone to return them. They say to recycle them but I wouldn’t be surprised if they spay ’em down and bag ’em up and call ’em new for the next wave.

@Water_moon yes, that is what they mean by “recycling”. They sterilize them, clean them & wrap them.

The 3-D glasses we had when we were kids were cardboard. Every once in a while, the Smithsonian Magazine will have a special picture and include a pair in that issue.

“Real x-rays show bones best while flesh and organs are transparent.”.Reflecting X-rays are possible.Even though x-rays were first noticed for penetrating objects, some are reflected at each medium change (like seismic and ground penetrating radar}.

https://www-als.lbl.gov/index.php/holding/595-lensless-x-ray-imaging-in-reflection.html.This also leads one to wonder if ground penetrating radar might be useful in replacing some x-ray imaging..I read years back that a small radar pulse running under 2 watts could check your pulse from across the room.. Imagine having your vitals checked as you entered the waiting room.(Could also detect guns, just in case someone forgot to bring hers.)

Arlo’s glasses are the red/green lenses, used for 3-D comic books. Movies use a polarized lens system (which is better).

X-ray glasses and 3-D glasses work on completely different bases, and so they look different! (3-D glasses covered most of your field of vision with heavy paper, and you looked out through a tiny hole through a piece of feather.)
