Lupin: Wicket is considered armed and tricky! Elvis: Lupin, I'm live with the only eye witness to the attack- In fact isn't it true you escaped capture yourself Natasha? Natasha: Yes. Tommy: Lupin. I'm here with the family... Mouse: Thanks Tommy, I just need a moment. Elvis: Tommy, ah, I have an exclusive on the owl's history with local mice. Natasha: This has all been foretold- we are prepared! Generations ago, the wicked ruled over our skies. The mice of these lands lived in fear, save one...The Golden Mouse. Legend tells how she lured the Wicked out of the sky and tricked him into injuring his wing in a rabbit cage. But the Wicked was clever. He sought protection in a cat sanctuary. He surrounded himself with cats until he was strong again. We know this for guinea- penned by clover, son of Gumdrop. At great personal risk. The Wicked kept a beautiful cat maiden at his side. Until he was well enough to flee. But the Golden Mouse knew the Wicked's pride would lead him to return...to have the last screech. My mice are not from these fields. Yet even I have drilled and prepared for this day. Generations of mice have passed down the Golden Mouse's words Alice knows what to do. And the first chance she gets, Alice will get free. And get away. Scurry into a small, safe place. And say the words we've been taught will trap the Wicked. The Golden Mouse is still with us and I can take you to her.

I love sweet coughnotsocough little Tommy. He is so worried for her. That is adorable. And this promises to be a great story.

Mustaches have a purpose. They placate certain wives.

Even the steam from Lupin’s coffee looks as angry as he does that someone would try to hurt their extended family.

Just went back to review the love story in this light! Wow! Georgia, they are going to be studying your work in college literature classes! Your storyline, subtext, theme development is simply awesome. I know writers who would do something Wicket for your ability.

What I really want to know is, why would mention of the Golden Mouse trap Wicked?

Personally, I’m on the side of the owl. But it’s still a cute storyline.

Since it’s the Fourth of July, here’s the appropriate strip from the website: http://www.gocomics.com/breaking-cat-news/2015/02/02

Up to now I have believed this strip to be an accurate rendition of daily life in Georgia’s household. But when I see mice with swords I begin to suspect that Georgia is … How can I put this politely? Let us say “embellishing reality from her over-active imagination.” I’m afraid I am finding it hard to believe this story to be completely true.

Of course she is embellishing….this is a cartoon, of course. I don’t know her personally, but suspect that she has an abundance of love for all creatures. Check out her “other” life, complete with woodland animal drawings, and some of the photos she shares, which often include an owl or two in ceramic or fabric form

I like this.

From the POV of mice, an owl would be the representative of Evil, Death from the Sky. This is their history as handed down over many generations (figure 25 years for mice would be close to a dozen or more generations, or several hundred years compared to human life spans). Thus the “medieval” look of the tapestry. Of course, from the owl’s POV, he’s just trying to get a meal…Wicket does seem to be a rogue and a user, though!

I’m remembering the Christmas strip where the robber mice were seen as evil by Puck since they stole his toy. Revenge was plotted but the result was friendship between the mice and cats! Now I’m wondering if we’ll see something like that with the owl…

Ooooo, I hope not. That Wicket is wicked.
