I would love to believe… …that when I die I will live again. That some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife… PEARLY GATES LEISURE CENTRE …I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking. The world is so exquisite with so much love and moral depth… PARADISE …that there is no reason to deceive ourselves with pretty stories for which there’s little good evidence. Far better it seems to me, in our vulnerability… …is to look death in the eye. And to be grateful every day… …for the brief but magnificent opportunity that life provides. - Carl Sagan

It’s a mystery either way… namely to believe there is no creator is just as mystifying as to believe there is a creator; our intellect is too weak. Compare an ant trying to learn to read and write…

Quran 29." Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."
It takes two to make peace. It only takes one to make war. Wishful Thinking is not a basis for peace unless it is the peace of death.

The student asks the guru, “You’re a master, what happens to us after we die?” The guru shrugs, “I don’t know.” “But you have to know; you’re a master!” “yes,” answers the teacher, “I am a master, but not a dead one.” We’ll all find out soon enough.

“In the know?” Got any proof?
Didn’t think so.

Interesting picture sequence, but aside from it currently being a fantasy about as likely as the leader of ISIS being elected Pope, I doubt that it is anything like what Carl Sagan had in mind.
