isn’t it the idea that they are using their phones to find the latest advice the very thing that is suppose to make this funny? I humor is only funny if you can relate. And dogs who need to go out cannot be denied, thunder or not.
This storyline is totally believable. As ptlover says, there are people who are literally not able to function in life without the constant use of their phones. Even if they have learned life skills, they forget them when they know that they can rely on the Internet as a replacement for their natural grey matter. It’s wonderful that we live in a world where so much valuable information is at our fingertips, but we can’t forget that we are also human beings with information systems of our own …
