Did Arlo just see the Plumber’s Southern Cross?

They are pretty wicked. The Google one I tried also let you input the time (present, past, future…) to show you what will be where at various moments. Most useful when you don’t recognize an object, because it tells you the planets as well!

Check out the app Transparent Earth. It shows you what’s on the other side of the planet based on where you are and where you’re pointing the phone. It’s really cool to be able to point down and say there’s Tokyo or LA or whatever.

Not having added apps to your phone isn’t anything to brag about, it just means you aren’t getting as much out of your phone as you might be. Not a dumb phone, but maybe a retarded phone.

That would be way out of character for Arlo to object to the view where Janis was concerned!

Night-Gaunt49 Are you looking forward to the time when first magnitude Vega is the north star instead of second/third Polaris variable is? You have only a tenth of the way.

With a cheap Sears 3X telescope one can see Jupiter, Mars, and the rings around Saturn, and much more. but those three are the best. The moon, YES, of course, but a closer look is fun, too.

Sigh…I guess being out with a beautiful woman on a dark, starry night just ain’t what it used to be.
