Dying IS a bummer.Shake the board, Agnes, it works with cats..(Now you are all thinking I do things like that to cats. My brother, Howard, did once shoot down the limb a cat was hanging from. Come to think of it, I’m not sure I ever saw that cat again, he hit the ground running and didn’t look back.)

    I’m terrified of heights.

I was Agnes; I was this other little girl….though not quite, cos I insisted on backing down the ladder… never even walked all the way out the board.

I already told, one day in this forum, about being pushed off by an impatient person behind me… I think I was 12.I was only a few steps away from the top of the ladder, panicking not only at the height but cos the diving board was springy.I was a good swimmer, but paralysed with fear, I plummeted deep, almost drowned, and had to be rescued.

Had someone shaken the board I think I would have fainted, and fallen in unconscious.Don’t.

“Mountain heritage name”. As an Appalachian-American myself, I’m loving it!

What if the postal person doesn’t do springboard deliveries?

Is it my imagination, or is the diving board a lot longer than it was in previous summers? Good for Agnes for trying to help, in her own klutzy way.

they are going in the pool together

especially if Agnes goes to the end of the board, that springy board may bend half way down anyway.
