Little girls have every right to their fears, without being forced to confront and “get over them”, same goes for little boys……and big girls, women, big boys and men. What’s wrong with a healthy fear of something. For example snakes or potato bugs? (Or, no offense, dentists!)
Didn’t Agnes try to jump off wearing some sort of wings, only for a wing to get caught?
I still think her last words will be: “It’s not swimming; it’s diving!” (as she finally does jump off the high dive, only for somebody to shout out, “You don’t know how to swim!”)
