GA history: Back on Sept. 22, 2008, in payment for Rover’s gas-saving device patent, Sultan Pepper gave Rover two briefcases full of money. Hoogie spent about $4,000 of it, and Rover gave a little of it to Rufus for junked auto parts.
Because the device was not as good as the sultan thought, Rover thought he’d have to give the money back to the sultan. Then, the sultan died in a car accident.
Hoogie’s got a good job, and Rover fixes cars for a living. They live modestly. Rover should still have the rest of the money. If Jim follows continuity.
OK. This is his first day of school (established). And now the bus driver says she’ll see him Monday. Does that mean he only had one day of school his first week?
Is this the end of this story? Seems anticlimactic. There’s still the matter of the bus in the ravine and determining what went wrong and who is responsible.
State investigators will be out next week, and fingerprint everybody, and the bus, taking photos and measurements at the scene of the – whatever it was!

No glory for Rover on this adventure, but a few memories to elicit an inexplicable smirk years from now. That’s something, anyway.
