“What’s for dinner tonight?”. " ‘Brown rice’ or ‘spaghetti,’ depending on what I find."

What is the difference between eating insects and eating cows, pigs, and chickens? (or frog legs or snails for that matter?)

we all eat bugs on a regular basis…shrimp, in same family as cockroach…lobster same family as scorpions…crab same family as spiders…in fact, all those used to be diet of the poor..in colonial times crabs & lobsters were kept fresh by throwing them down in the outhouses, where they could eat their fill…crustaceans = ocean’s insects

oakie817Same class, but not same family of Arthropods. The ones you named are all crustaceans, but the one insect and two arachnids you named are different from that and each other.

A southern Asian religious extremist was on our flight to India. He was an extreme Jain. They’re so pro-life they wear surgical masks to keep from killing insects by swallowing them.

Jerry CarlsonKe4eing one’s mouth closed will take care of that. It is to avoid inhaling them. They both strain out a gnat and refuse to swallow a camel.
