Been married 30 years. I don’t put hubby’s clothes away and he doesn’t put mine away. I’ve never even looked in his dresser. First, he’s a grown man. Second, he was in the Army. I would probably be depressed at how my drawers look if I saw his.
My hubby cooks and washes dishes, since he was disabled and “retired”, he helps clean and does laundry and puts clothes away, his AND mine. He folds clothes better than I do. He takes care of our house bunny. We share chores, randomly. I shop for groceries. I do all the bookwork. And he has a computer “office” in the living room. And speaking of folding clothes better than I do…our son was potty trained rather early, but if I sat him down with a pile of diapers, and Sesame Street, he could fold diapers better than the diaper service! Go figure!
Husband does not even know what is in what drawer of his, other than his socks and underwear are in the top one. He keeps all his shoes out in a line in front of his dresser and the bookcase next to it – then complains I haven’t cleaned the floor there.
Yes, I do all the housecleaning.
I do the laundry and put it all away. I do the cooking and the dish washing (by hand). I do the sewing.
He is home full time now and the two things I rarely get to do is drive and decide what I want to do :“today”. If I did not go out for work one day a month and another day for a meeting, I would not drive at all any more.
37 years last week – plus we went together for 6 years before that.

In Arlo’s experience, they get thrown on the floor.

He’s helping with the laundry. Give him a break.

I have no idea where my wife keeps her clothes — this “unfortunately” prevents me from putting her laundry away.

Everyone puts their own cloths away in this house. And the kids still can’t find their own cloths that they put away,

My wife knows that I’m not any good at putting her cloths away. Taking them off of her on the other hand…
