I hate stores that try to guilt me into making a donation so they can claim that they are making a difference (and can probably claim a lot of it on their taxes). I’ll give to the charities that I choose.

I strongly dislike begging for dollars at any time. I write checks through the year to local charities that I can follow up on to see where the money is going. Those big charities can byte me.
