ammittai, good one! mjm…Wonderfully obscure….Bilan, the Wiley Bear on the right doesn’t look all that concerned……He’s looking at the jury and thinking about lunch….What I want to know is how did the bunnies get those bears into court?
check out eddie murphy’s joke for a small boy in the first row, about mr bear and mr rabbit, walking through the woods together. you will see why mr bear’s lawyer wants to appeal
Hare ye, hare ye The supreme court of the 5th warren is now in session. Has the jury reached a verdict? We have your honor. We find the defendant…om nom nom, crunch, gulp. buuurrrppp!
The bears are outnumbered, but what bears can be bested by a warren of rabbits? All their defense is a strong escape. Like in they have strong powerful back legs.
If his lawyer is any good, he’ll ask the judge to either recuse himself and/or seat a new jury. (Though he should have been able to exclude some of those jurors for cause during voir dire.) Failing that, if his client is found guilty he has a pretty strong case for appeal on the grounds that the trial was unfair since the judge and the jury were both prima facie prejudiced against his client.

Appeal? More like a change of venue.

The good news is, they’re rabbits. At least it’s not a kangaroo court.

It’s worth a try but I’m sure the judge wouldn’t turn a hare.

That defendant is going to be hare today, gone tomorrow!

Eddie Murphy once told a joke about a bear and a rabbit in the woods together… the Wiley bears had better hope this jury never saw “Delirious.”

I see the problem here. The jury is supposed to be twelve peers, not twelve ears.

The trial may only last as long the first dinner break.

What I’d like to see, assuming the defendant is convicted, is how the court intends to enforce the sentence.

When the chaos begins, the judge will retire to his warren.

I doubt the term ‘hung jury’ will apply here.

Our rule is “a jury of your peers”, but I don’t see the plaintiff or DA. He must be in a stew.

I like the folks who respond to this strip. Are you aware of “Tarzan’s Tripes Forever and Other Feghoots” at http://shaggy-dogs.briancombs.net/ ?

NightGaunt! Babe! Your reply to the below comment makes me think you didn’t get that a warren is a system of subterranean rabbit tunnels.

Your response was simply, “JFK assassination” indicating you missed mjm313’s joke. Well, you once said comedy wasn’t your thing.
