Arlo: What?
Janis: You feel all right?
Arlo: Sure, why?
Janis: Well, you just seem kind of...I don't know!
Janis: You're sure you feel OK?
Arlo: Yes!
Janis: OK.
Arlo: Some men are born hypochondriacs, others have hypochondria thrust upon them!

I just got home from the hospital yesterday, I spent 2 days thinking I was just imagining how bad I felt and telling myself it was nothing, but when my temp went up to 102.3 I knew it was time to head for the emergency room and I spent the rest of the week in the hospital while the doctors treated my infected leg.

Those of us who have lived reasonably hard & reached a reasonable age have no further need for hypochondria……..

This is great. Alludes to a passage in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, Act II, Scene 5: ll. 66-68: “but be not afraid of greatness: some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ’em.” Read the play to see why this noble-sounding phrase is part of an elaborate prank.

Himself just gets mean as a snake for no apparent reason. About the time I am checking online for a divorce attorney, I realize he’s coming down with a cold…

The way I’ve stopped my wife from doing that to me is I just tell her I’m love sick and she my only cure and start leading her to the bed room. Now I could have blood seeping out of both of my eyes and she wouldn’t say a word about it.

It DOES work.Get a few people to agree to treat someone as if he looks sick whenever they meet him and after a few encounters, he will be sick.My father and some co-workers did it and the poor fellow missed a week of work.

I ask again: Does Janis even like Arlo?

I can tell when my husband is not feeling well, often before he notices. In addition if his blood sugar is low I can tell before he notices by his attitude.
