They’re a sarcastic bunch… including Peter…they’re not actually cold, or cruel…I’m sure the “threats” are meant as affectionate humor.I’ll take that any day!So would millions of other people who live alone, or even those whose families forget or ignore special occasions…
(Not to even mention the many millions for whom the luxury of drinking even an imperfect cup of coffee while lying in a warm bed is beyond imagining, much less hoping for….but that’s another subject.)
The very reason I drink my coffee with milk is so that it would be tepid. because if it is hot then I can’t drink it and have to wait and then I’ll forget all about it and by the time I remember it is just cold.
