Lupin: The Baby is turning one! Puck: It's a gala event here on the blue carpet, Lupin. Here comes The Woman now, wearing a yellow gown and oven mitts. Elvis: There can't be enough fanfare. Puck: The Man is a vision in plaid! The Toddler pulled his shirt over his head, and now he's a scary ghost! Toddler: Spooooky! Tommy: It's a daring look, Puck. He's taking a real risk on the blue carpet tonight. Sophie: I love it. Elvis: Everything looks ready in the kitchen, Lupin! Toddler: Oooooooooooo! Puck: And here she is! The lady of the hour! The Woman is giving the traditional People birthday gift of fire- Elvis: What- Are you insane?! All this fanfare is flammable! Man: Huh. Usually it's Lupin going after candles.

Elvis takes his role of protector very seriously. I think I have a crush on him.

And notice how, in panels 4, 8, and 12, the pattern of the trIangular birthday flags is identical to the one Beatrix is excited to hang in panel 1? It’s Georgia’s attention to details like these that sets this beautiful comic apart from the rest…

Elvis meows, “Not on my watch!” Ever the loyal watch-cat he won’t allow the Baby to deal with fire, but he’s left pyrotechnics to the professional—Lupin! :-)

My Siamese loves to lick at lit candles. But then he does not need to protect a baby. Elvis keep up the good work.

“Traditional People gift of fire”, wow! many images of man’s use/worship/respect of fire throughout history.

While Violet and Natasha boost up Alice, Agnes rushes in with their gift! (I’m pretty sure I got the names right?) Detail is the sign of genius.

You can’t hold a candle to Elvis. Or Lupin.
