One of ours likes to try getting into the cupboards. If he does, he cries until we find him. That’s about to change, tho. We’re having all new cabinets installed next month and the bottom shelves will be replaced with big, deep drawers.

The woman here needs to start putting the kibble into a plastic or glass container.

Lupin IS The Cat of Adventure.

But how did he know that Elvis was talking to him?

Mippy figured this out the first night we had him! He crawled in through a drawer to the cupboard where the cat food was and had himself a feast! We’ve had to baby proof the drawers and cupboards because he figured out how to open them in no time.

Haha! I love this one! Indiana Lupin! I love the scale of the Kibble bag against his tiny frame and how it seems towering and magnificent. :-)

Just love the little torch. And is that supposed to be a little bullwhip on his shoulder? Also, grumpy Elvis is cute! I just want to scritch his little head!

“I’m passing under the sink.” Such tiny print that at first I thought the word “passing” had a different vowel in it.

Some years back, I opened a drawer in the kitchen, and saw a mouse in it. My cat, Freebie, also saw the mouse. She chinned herself up into the drawer, and showed off her ninja skills getting from the drawer into the cabinet. She came out from under the sink a few minutes later with the mouse in her mouth. Cats are wonderful!

The real Elvis is not always an angry faced cat, but has to play the part in Breaking Cat News. Having seen all the real Lupin, Puck, & Elvis on Georgia Dunn’s Website some of the characteristics of “the boys” sometimes comes through in the illustrations & story lines. Been hooked on BCN since it began, & hope all is well with Georgia & family in their new location.

Our Shadow (Puck) has only bugs and flies to conquer this summer – with dreams of the “winter mouse” in the garage!

Jingle Bell Katt will sometimes paw open a lower cabinet and disappear for awhile amid the pots and pans. She has also opened lower drawers and pulled out the kitchen towels onto the floor. If we don’t pay attention, she sometimes scales the top of the fridge from the kitchen counter and tries to get into those cabinets. For a chubby girl, she’s a pretty good jumper!

Were kitchen cupboards really built like that?Well, surely not access via a drawer?

I have a Snowshoe Siamese cat who varies between timid and aggressive, but sounds mournful one moment and bellicose the next. He’s somewhat neurotic, but enjoys chasing my other cat (a happy-go-lucky black-and-white stray) and stealing snacks from the food dishes. He weighs around 12 lbs and has lovely coloring in white, brown and beige. I adore him; his name is “Mocha”, and he sleeps on my bed with me every night.

Many years ago, we lost my cat “Little Bit”. We searched the whole house, under EVERYTHING! My Hubby was outside, in case she somehow got out. I opened my baby’s onesie drawer to get him a clean one for bedtime…and there she was, curled up on the clean rompers that I had put away earlier. Sound asleep…no meows to let us know where she was. I never saw her climb in, and must have put my attention on putting some other clothes in another drawer. I guess I shut it without looking in.

Now, we look in EVERY drawer before we close them. She also had the endearing habit of “helping herself” to the next new bag of kibble whenever she could.;-D

We put child safety latches on the cabinet doors for the cupboards that contain the garbage, cat food, or cat treats – because one of our boys likes to open the cupboard doors & go inside. don’t care if he goes in the other cupboards, there’s nothing he can really bother, but didn’t want him getting into mischief with cat food/treats or any garbage (even though we DO put the cat food/treats in plastic containers in the cupboard)
