Love Elvis’ “Proud Parent of a Bookstore Cat” He’s in super Dad Cat mode here. And then Bea’s description of her duties right down to taste testing the food! Really nice to see her and Trevor together but I really wish we could have seen their reunion when she arrived.

For a kitten with many toes on her paws, Beatrix sure has her hands full. Loving the new characters, the look on Trevor’s face, and the new CN logo.

I have become totally smitten with this comic over this arc. Thank you!

All the guys have the Proud Parent shirts-you can just see the top peeking out under Lupin sport coat. I think Bea has found a great “full time position in this economy”. Trevor seems to be a bookworm, too, and a Jack London fan.

Thank you, Georgia for a few precious moments in the sweet world of your cats. I appreciate the rare “time out” from the political, sarcastic and sometimes hate filled internet. True “niceness” is a rare thing these days. Keep up the good work.

The story of Beatrix has been a great addition and the cast of characters continues to grow in the most delightful way!

By the way, if the Customer Beatrix greets looks familiar, there’s good reason: she’s The Intruder (a/k/a the Woman’s sister)

The anniversary of the beginning of BCN is here! Georgia posted on her Facebook “I scribbled this down on some card stock late one night and originally posted it just for friends on my FB and Twitter. Friends—and then friends of friends, and then friends of those friends—commented to tell me they loved it, but I thanked everyone for their kind words and assured them I was not starting a new comic. Not with a one year old and a cross country move looming! No way, I’d have to be crazy! Ideas kept coming though, I couldn’t seem to shut them off! 3-4 strips later, I started the original site and posted this strip on March 12, 2014. And two weeks from tomorrow the comic will launch in newspapers throughout the country! Good things can happen when you buckle down and make the time! I hope you’ve all enjoyed these first years! Some of you have been here since the very beginning! I hope we all have many more years together enjoying ‘Breaking Cat News’. I’ll do my best to make that happen!From the crew here at BCN, (one of whom, Elvis, is sleeping on my feet as I type this in the morning) THANK YOU!!!”
