I’m usually on Earl’s side of things, but in all fairness, desertion / abandonment of one’s spouse is a pretty hard thing to forgive, and short of a stroke or serious car accident, impossible to forget.
Either Opal should make arrangements for one of her friends to take her, or Earl should make the arrangements for her. To just leave your wife stranded is a pretty low thing to do.

Women may forgive us but they NEVER forget. As long as Earl and Opal have been married you’d think he’d know that.

She doesn’t want to be stranded. She does what she needs to do.

Opal should learn to drive herself.

That’s why there are so many female archaeologists. Women just love digging up the past.

What’s the difference between in-laws and out-laws? Out-laws are wanted.
