Researchers at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign transmitted high-speed digital data through slabs of pork loin and beef liver- they could even stream Netflix! Lowri Dearsley of Manchester, England, gave birth to her first daughter at 7:43 p.m. in 2005, second daughter at 7:43 a.m. in 2007 and her son at 7:43 a.m. in 2011! Paws, a cat owned by Bill Rice of Atwater, California, has extra toes that are separated from the rest so that it looks as if he has thumbs.

Research has finally invented the beefernet!

The cat is probably saner than the researchers. It would eat the meat instead of streaming videos with it. That is one punctual lady!

Glad to know our tax dollars in Illinois are supporting such important research! Justifies or state heading for a 1 billion dollar deficit.

Don’t the cats at Hemingway’s house in Key West have extra toes? I think so. Saw it years ago on vacation.
catshade about 8 years ago
Did she give birth naturally, or c-section? That cat isn’t to unusual. I’ve seen others.

Didn’t she get 7:43 tattooed, or am I thinking of something else?

I suspect that “researchers” is a grandiose title for a couple of geeky students having fun.

And the “researchers” at Urbana-Champaign only burned up $37,468,212.48 in government research grants to do it. Amazing feat!

@sarazan7—Almost all the cats at the Hemingway house are polydactyl.

@catshade13—On almost all polydactyl cats, the extra toe(s) is/are webbed to the others. Finding one that looks like a thumb is unusual.

Is the signal actually going through the meat or the air around it, as is my WiFi connection to all the rest of you.

When I was a kid a local farmer had a yoke of oxen that each ox had extra hooves. Looked like they had thumbs. Sheesh…let’s have some real WOW like Ripley’s used to have.Did ya know Charles Lindbergh, a civilian observer, shot down a Japanese fighter? He also showed the P-51 pilots how to conserve fuel and more than doubled the range of the fighter. Oh, the Army sent him home forthwith. They were afraid of the negative publicity they would get if Lindbergh had gotten killed.

The beef study at Illinois was to develop technology for transmitting data from an embedded medical device inside a person. The study utilized ultrasound to transmit the signals through the meat similar to how it would be used to get data from say a defibrillator through the chest wall.

Well, let’s see… 2 years between first & second child; 4 years between second & third child. She will have her next child in 2019 at 7:43 AM – the morning and nights alternate.

They also proved just how transparent we are to electromagnet radiation,

Having 3 kids born at the same hour and minute (the same time happening twice a day) should happen about once out of every half a million births.

And that coupled with robotic technology is how the Matrix becomes reality… LOL!

“Meatflix” sounds like a porn site.
