Summer clothes aren’t that heavy. Yes with age she will not be able to see unicorns and dragons just like otherkin.

This is starting to sound like the way Calvin and Hobbes ended, except Marigold probably won’t turn into a toy.

Marigold the unicorn just got a reality check. From a small dragon. Who spews candy. And vomits ice cream.

No, the ability to see unicorns isn’t age-related in this strip’s universe. Unicorns use the Shield of Boringness to prevent people (adults and kids alike) from noticing them, but Marigold lowered the Shield just enough so that Phoebe’s parents and friends can see and interact with her without thinking “omigod a UNICORN!”

Well, neither of them wears clothes, unless you count hair or—-scales?

I don’t like the “going-awayness” of the last panel.

This strip is depressing. Marigold is practically accepting that Phoebe will grow up, and that she will probably see her less and less. But who knows? Maybe that won’t be the case.

These comments make me really want someone to write a fanfic about Phoebe growing up and Marigold dealing with it.

Must be nice to be multilingual. :D
