Excuse me? That “receding” mustache is in fact one modeled after the Kurosawa triad – three actors who were iconic in Akira Kurosawa’s most famous films: Takashi Shimura, Minoru Chiaki and the most famous of the three, Toshiro Mifune – and all three sported mustaches like that during their time in Kurosawa’s films (Mifune in Rashomon, Chiaki in Kunimiso-ju/Throne of Blood, and Shimura in Seven Samurai).
Haha! Very funny! Excellent work as always, Tony! However, at least in my interpretation, a “receding” mustache would tend to grow inward and become more and more “Chaplinesque” until it disappeared entirely. But, I realize that visually, it would be difficult to impossible to show that style as a “receding” mustache because some people purposefully choose that style.

I have an advancing hairline. By the time I’m seventy, I’ll look like an Ewok.
