Panel 4: It’s true! It’s true!

One never looks as good in photos as one does in one’s mind.

Sometimes I question Janis’ sanity.

That’s what they call a zero-sum game.

He needs to shut up, before she remembers that video tape in the bottom of the drawer and makes him destroy it. .There was a good saying in another strip the other day. “Don’t worry about if others can see your flaws. They can.”

In panel 1, is that a spider on her knee?…

After seeing a pic somebody took of me I suddenly saw whypeople don’t want me taking pictures of them.

Just appreciate the fact that Arlo wants the picture. He isn’t laughing, he’s admiring. Makes my heart feel good.

If my husband said I looked like a princess, I wouldn’t be ticked off and fighting with him.

I think the reason some people don’t like to have their picture taken is because all their pictures show them holding their arms in front of their grimacing faces….Of course they’re going to look stooped…..

These people just don’t seem happy.

Janis, the photo isn’t for YOU.

I’m fine with hubby having pics of me as long as they are just for him…

I read somewhere that a possible reason we don’t like how we look in photos is because our usual way of viewing ourselves is in the mirror, which is a reverse image. A photo is not, so it doesn’t look “right” to us.

Someone did a study….showed people dozens of photos of themselves. They didn’t like any of them. Then they flipped one around, like what you’d see in the mirror…people LIKED that one! We like what we are used to seeing.

He still isn’t reading her well at all. Why she gets so angry when he ignores what Janis is saying to him. He is deaf to it.

I think it’s time for HER to take candid photos of him snoring without his permission.

I wouldn’t want anyone taking a picture of me sleeping.

Janis has always had body-image issues.
