DeGaulle had the solution. When he came back to power in France in 1958, he demanded that the Parliament give power to rule by decree for 6 months.

Chuck Jones once wrote a book called Daffy Duck for President which pretty well explains how the three branches of government work together. It should be required reading for voters.

Here’s an idea: Any Congressman that does a filibuster or kills a bill in committee, should be automatically impeached.

Just pass a single clean bill, stop putting riders and amendments on them that kill the original bill.

We pay Congress to do their job for the people who elected them and for the rest of us as well. They, however, serve the people who bought them and their party first. Occasionally, the people’s interest is taken into account. Corporations and billionaires can buy government. The rest of us don’t have enough money to turn legislators’ heads. What with voter suppression, gerrymandering and the other dirty tricks of politics, we have no real democracy left.

I mourn that. Sorry for the rant.

We don’t need too many changes. Just mild changes and fine tuning as we go.

With those words, Rat has my vote.

I mourn for you Americans, for your Presidents and politicians have trodden on your Constitution until it no longer has any effect. And none have been impeached for it.

So what’s new?

The President’s lament. “Why should I support Congress? All they do is send me bills.”

Rat remember there are many ways to get rid of rats: traps,cats, posion ,ect,ect,ect………………

It always amuses me that people don’t quite get that our system of government was designed specifically to keep those in power from doing too much.

I don’t want new laws. I wish Congress only to repeal most of what they already passed.

Perhaps someone will figure out a way to establish term limits for Congressmen and Congresswomen so they can concentrate on doing their jobs instead of being a bunch of fatcats/poopyheads.

Thanks to Obama, Congress is now irrelevant. Obama bypasses them with executive orders. Incredible.

Geez, how many more laws do you need?

Pay to play. The rest of us are out of the loop.

They make plenty of laws. The problem here is 2 fold – they don’t allow for oversight or enforcement and they don’t take out the old laws that conflict.

WAH , WAH , WAH , BOO , HOO, why don’t all you Obama haters just get on a plane to anywhere else in the world that you think will take your whiny butts , & then you can get on Elon’s rocket to Mars in 2019 or whenever it goes , I’m tired of your God-forsaken whining already !

For once, Rat has a good idea.

I still want a direct election of the President. Cut the Electoral College out of the Constitution. Then the votes of people in Hawaii will matter and the election won’t be over before ever state has counted its votes.

So, does radical Rat lead anyone here to want to join my Constitutional Anarchy Party?

Well we could stop electing infantile folks to congress. Remember how far back “if I can’t have my way, I ain’t gonna play” was in your own life….these guys are a majority of arrested development.
