The hyoid bone is the only bone in the human body not connect to another bone. In Victorian London, there was a paid position specifically for delivery men to supply meat to cats! Yikes! A swarm of bees in Wales followed Carol Howarth's car for two days- because the Queen bee was trapped somewhere inside!

The Hyoid bone is actually one of three, the other two being the kneecaps. They are attached to ligaments which are attached to the thigh and shin, and we couldn’t bend our knees without them, but they are not connected to bones themselves. I learned that from Knee and Sports injury Doctor who treated my Mom’s broken kneecap.
