I once went as a Jack O’ Lantern, not very creative, but the costume was much easier to make than the year I decided I wanted to be a White Elephant Sale. (For some reason, nobody could figure out what I was.) I think my mother enjoyed having her creativity tested, but the year I wanted go as Casper the friendly ghost, she gave me the standard ghost costume (sheet with holes for the eyes), but with a big pink bow around my neck so that people would know I was friendly.

But, MOM, it’s the MOST important decision a kid has to make all year!

I once went as the Empire State Building — complete with King Kong. It was a big hit!

One year I wet as the “Telephone Lady”. (Anybody else on here old enough to remember her?) It was a fantastic costume, but somebody else had to carry my swag.

This year for Halloween I plan on taking my mask off.

She’s halfway to being a seat belt already. The strain of decision-making has her about ready to buckle.

Aiice! Relax! Take a calmative! You’ve got a couple of weeks to decide and get your costume together! Easy peasy!
