Benjamin: Hi, you're watching cable Z-TV, and this is "Ask Dr. Whoopee." Tonight's topic: "Teens In Turmoil." In this age of promiscuity, what do your kids really know about the risks? We're getting answers from some actual teens like Andrea here! Andrea? Andrea: Well, like, I know AIDS is a totally bad thing to get, but my parents are like so paranoid, and it's like my life, you know? Also, like, I don't know, but I've heard sex is totally excellent. My friend Jennifer... Benjamin: Remember, these are actual teenagers!

The time when “like” started replacing “you know” as the filler word of choice.

True story.
In the late 1970’s a bunch of underground cartoonists got together and did a sex education comic.
It was filthy, it was hilarious, and it actually had a lot of good advice presented in a way that kids could understand.
It was banned because it had drawings of people under 18 having sex.
Because telling teens who are having sex that teens don’t have sex will surely stop them.

Abortion was part of many women’s life for centuries. The church even condoned it until the early 20th century. Women would go to the pharmacist and get vile concoctions and had bad doctors almost kill them. The 20s were a time of flappers and many had them. How many of you old timers remember the girls that left high school “to go help aunt Sue” in another state? Premaritial sex was rampant then as it is now. It is just all the nationwide coverage of reality shows and the like that get people to believe it is more prevalient now – although it is more accepted. We actually have a decrease in American citizen birth rate. The politicans allow immigrantion(even when they say they don’t) because they think more young workers will keep Social Security going. They just work cheaper and take citizens’ jobs.

HHS.gov (search Teen Pregnancy) begs to differ; New Mexico is 37.8 tied with Texas, Arkansas is 39.5; bjh_83 has it right! The states that teach either nothing, or ‘abstinence-only’, OK? All trending down as more kids talk (at least to each other) about it more, no doubt the InterTubes are to blame for that. OMG! Population Crashing in U.S.!
