If memory serves, the Yankees won the World Serious in 2009. And have done naught since.

The Red Sox won the WS in 2013, and their division title this year, and have just now lost in Round 1 of the playoffs to the Cleveland Indians. I will say that the Sox immediate future looks much brighter than does the Yanks. At least the players to whom the Sox are still paying mega-dollars are still playing baseball, and playing well.

Since the Red Sox just got shellacked by the Indians, is this an example of life imitating art?

Does the Indians winning remind anyone else of the criminally underrated movie Major League, and the great Bob [Just A Bit Outside] Uecker?

The Yankees and Red Sox have one thing in common, they are the most hated teams in Baseball.

yeah, a sports team signed on a bunch of players who aren’t even from the same state…then again Bucky doesn’t seem to like the team out of a particular sense of Jingoism like most sports fans.

Cleveland is not East Coast; it is NORTH Coast, home of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, reknown Art museum, Severance Music Hall, Blossom Music Center, Western Reserve Historical Society, Key bank, Case-Western Reserve University, the reknowned Cleveland Clinic and University Children’s and Adult Hospital, major business headquarters, Parkland and Trails encircling the entire County, International Airport, historic homes and mini-mansions, hot Summers and cold Winters!
