Bucky Katt: So... first, my Yankees were signing all the pitchers your red Sox wanted... and now they're signing all the hitters your Sox were after... the Yankees are now officially more dangerous in the strike zone that a teamster with a bag of rocks. Rob Wilco: Bucky... Bucky Katt: The Red Sox might has well change their name to the lightly browned Sox, for truly, they are now toast. Satchel Pooch: HaHA! The Rye Sox!

If memory serves, the Yankees won the World Serious in 2009. And have done naught since.
The Red Sox won the WS in 2013, and their division title this year, and have just now lost in Round 1 of the playoffs to the Cleveland Indians. I will say that the Sox immediate future looks much brighter than does the Yanks. At least the players to whom the Sox are still paying mega-dollars are still playing baseball, and playing well.

Since the Red Sox just got shellacked by the Indians, is this an example of life imitating art?
Does the Indians winning remind anyone else of the criminally underrated movie Major League, and the great Bob [Just A Bit Outside] Uecker?

Being a retired Teamster, I loved the “bag of rocks” comment. Grew up watching Yaz….Go Boston!

yeah, a sports team signed on a bunch of players who aren’t even from the same state…then again Bucky doesn’t seem to like the team out of a particular sense of Jingoism like most sports fans.
