Dad is leaving it all to Mom — and if she goes first — it goes to charity.

Yeah, it ain’t gonna happen Calvin. Infact his dad should leave him nothing with everything going to his wife and/or charity.

Well, statistically speaking, 86% + of all millionaires are first generation wealthy – they worked their butts off to build it. Very few inherit it. Very few steal it..Read The Millionaire Next Door and Stop Acting Rich. Dry reading but incredibly eye opening. Not to mention they refute everything people say about the eeeeeeeeeevil 1%.

I did get a significant inheritance from my grandparents, but I feel grateful for that, not entitled. My mother got half of their wealth, and then died two years later. While it would really have helped me to inherit from her, I didn’t really do for her like I should have during her last two years of life, so she left it all to a friend of hers who was more there for her, and I didn’t get a cent. I have mixed feelings about that, but our relationship was never very good, and I don’t think I was entitled to the money in any way.

This is the opposite of what happened to me. My mom is so young she has no filter. She explicitly told me she wanted me to be a doctor so I could make money to give her in her retirement. With that kind of advice, the only option I can call my own is to drag my feet and barely make enough money to survive.

My wife and I are having fun spending our kid’s inheritance. There is still a fair amount left, so we hope we live long enough to complete our plan…

well if you don’t mind waiting until you are 50 or 60 – unless dad gets hit by a car on one of his bike rides.

Be sure not to inherit it like Trump and then use the legal system repeatedly to get out of paying “the little people” what you owe them.

“Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” (UK) was one of my favourite TV quiz shows.

I’ve been rewatching old episodes on Youtube.
