My son had his eureka moment when he ran his face into his quarter pipe on his bmx. He looked up, didn’t see anyone, said to himself, “Well this is silly.” and came in the house so I could take him to the hospital.

my oldest (now 23), when he was 2 or 3, started to have a temper tantrum and throw himself down on the floor. Then realised it was tiles – moved over 5m to the carpet, then commenced. Had lost all of the impact by that stage as we were too busy laughing …
