Oye i can foresee an attack on Flo’s Purse. And if successful Andy will be served,once again,at Jack’s.Unless,of course,he spends the money betting once again on the slowest horse in the race?

I remember a classic strip where Flo calls Andy out into the garden. In the last panel they’re both standing in grass up to their shoulders and Andy is saying, “What do you want?” Flo’s looking at us perplexed!

Andy is as good at paying his tab as Norm Peterson is.

Another telegraphed punchline…..I’m probably spoiled because I have more than 20 of the old “Andy Capp” paperback books in my collection, and I read the comics in my morning newspaper before I ever get around to GoComics, BUT: how hard would it be to spring an actual surprise on the reader? Or at least try to spring a surprise?

This type of gag has been repeated way too many times.

Do M,G&G really expect us to think that the vicar suddenly sees Andy changing his ways?

I already voted (met the mayor while standing in line) so all the news coverage now is pure comedy.

Well, Jack’s place turns up in later strips, so I guess Andy (reluctantly) paid it off.
