I used to be in a Facebook group mainly populated by Missouri residents. They were the so judgmental and stupid and homophobic and slut-shamey and transphobic that I eventually went ballistic on them and left the group.
Once, on a road trip, we stopped in LaGrange, MO on the way out. Nice town. Nice people. At least from what I saw of it, which was a local bar after dark. We made over 1,200 miles on our first drive before we slept.
Some day, there will be stations at LaGrange points for outbound vessels. Perhaps even shipyards, then.
A city for a giant was discovered under Moberly Missouri

The Evening Chronicle – St. Louis, MO – April 8, 1885
A LOST CITY
The Most Startling Discovery of the Age Made by Citizens of Moberly, Randolph County, Mo. While Sinking a Shaft for Coal Mining. A Veritable Pompeii 360 Feet Below the Earth’s Surface Containing Unquestionable Evidence of Human Habitation. Statuary, Utensils, Table, Skilled Masonry, Etc., Attest a Remote But Advanced Age of Civilization. A Human Skeleton of Mammoth Size Discovered. A County Recorder, City Marshall and Other Prominent Citizens Pay a Visit to the Wonderful Subterranean City..
The party judged, from the best information to be obtained on so a short time, that the skeleton is about three times as large as that of an average man, but they were afraid to attempt its removal this morning with the poor appliances at hand. Consequently it was left where found, to be removed at the earliest hour that the work can be done.
.
The implements found embrace Bronze and Flint Knives, stone and granite hammers, metallic saws of rude workmanship but proved metal, and others of a similar character. They are not so highly polished nor so accurately made as those now finished by our best mechanics, but they show skill and an evidence of advanced civilization that are positively wonderful.
My mother-in-law moved to Independence Missouri (after she became my mother-in-law). The woman in the comic could’ve been from there, except she’d have known about Missouri, Maybe.
I’m really proud of all you guys and your disdain. I wish I was as superior as you are, but coming from the inner city of Detroit, I’m not as smart. Maybe you know some Michigan places you can make fun of. We could all enjoy another good laugh.

I spot a spotted chair. It’s wearing a polka-dot dress.
No; wait. I think that it’s a woman. Do you have women in Missouria?
Silly question. Does America have frogs, or what?
