I agree and agreed with every word BD said.

BD often had a better grasp of reality than one would expect.

BD started off as the strip’s strawman conservative, but eventually evolved into the conservative side’s voice of reason more often than not.

We Americans like organized — or disorganized — crime?

Like most tyrants, like most Communist governments, he murdered anyone he thought stood in the way of his absolute power.

I remember the Harmonic Convergence. A nice pleasant day, but nothing special happened!!

Harmonic Convergence: I just looked it up. Despite the popular hype that it would bring peace and harmony, that’s not what was said. It was that in 1987, humanity was at a turning point. If on that day, enough (144,000 minimum) joined in meditation, then peace and harmony would begin. But if not, all the negatives would accelerate, war, hatred, etc.

Either that’s a loud phone or BD has excellent hearing.

So what do those who believe that Trudeau paints a misleadingly simplistic caricature of conservatives think of the fact that BD has been pretty much the most sensible regular character in the strip for the last couple of decades?

Never thought I’d agree with BD, but I share his contempt for anything New Age-y.
