Sociopathy and psychopathy aren’t generally learned, there has to be some kind of base for it to come from. However nurture can aid in suppressing it I have found.
When I was a kid, I was playing with friends and on the sidewalk still wrapped was a brown rectangle called Sweet Apple or something like that. We made sure the wrapping was intact and I got volunteered to take a bite. Chewing tobacco! YUCK.
When I was growing up, I didn’t know one single kid that talked back to their parents or babysitter that way. Come to think of it, we didn’t have a lot of police calls either.

Correlation is not causality. Slapping a child does not teach the child to be more honest or to be respectful. It usually teaches them “don’t get caught” and to harbor resentment because they are never allowed to speak their mind.
My younger brother when he was about Calvin’s age asked our grandfather , who made his own plugs of chewing tobacco, if he could chew some. So our grandfather tore off a small piece of tobacco and gave it to him. My brother popped it in his mouth chewed for a few seconds and swallowed it, turned green ran outside and threw up. He never wanted to chew tobacco again, but when in high school he started to smoke.
When we began geology field camp, one guy started chewing tobacco, figuring it went with a rough, tough outdoorsy image. There was one spot on the road where there was a sharp S-bend and a sudden drop, which we thought was great fun to take at high speed. And one time we did, the guy swallowed his wad. He did not feel good.
I had a neighbor who chewed. One Sunday, while we were chatting in his driveway, he reached for his pouch and grabbed a pinch. I told him I never tasted the stuff, so he offered some to me.
Holy cow! I couldn’t rinse my mouth out fast enough! I ran over to the faucet on the front of his house and turned on the garden hose. Absolutely disgusting, and I have sampled some pretty unusual tastes in my lifetime, but nothing like chewing tobacco!
I hear the same complaint from my 4 year old frequently. Example: “Dad. Can I have some of that ground glass and razor blades you’re eating?” “No, Aaron. I’m a professional and I know how to do it without dying an agonizing death.” “Yaaargh!!” I never get to do what I want! I hate you!"
We had a neighbor several years ago that was a heavy tobacco user. He lived to be over a hundred years old. After he died one of his sons said “We told him those cigarettes were going to get him if he didn’t quit ’em”.
If Calvin grows up to be a psychopath, it will not be because he had to go to bed at a reasonable hour, it will be because of a birth defect or whatever mental condition he already has.

Calvin, for some strange reason your parents don’t want you to get oral cancer.

They don’t let him have booze, gamble, and go to strip clubs either. I’m calling Child Protective Services….

Modern parent are okay with chewing tobacco, so long as they can helicopter and suffocate the kid at the same time.

Psychopaths are frightening people.
I even scare myself sometimes.
Just kidding. I’m a fairly normal person.

Mouth cancer must be a horrible way to go. Alcohol causes it, too.
