NOAA started as out as part of the army(Nice to know what the weather is when going into battle) then it was spun off as it’s own governmental beast. This happened in the 1870"s. Listen to NOAA on the radio and they will give the record high and low temperature for your area every day. With this in mind one will see temps all over the place for the last 125 plus years. What caused those various numbers to come about when there was no man caused whatever during most of that time period ? Yes volcanoes were part of the reason and the other part was the activity of the sun. The Old Farmer’s Almanac uses sun activity to forecast in advance as part of it’s system. Follow the Sun, something the media fails to do……..In the mean time one can still “Give a hoot and don’t pollute” when possible :-)

Global Warming was invented to keep scientists who would otherwise be unemployed in work. The UEA Climategate email scandal proved that data was being manipulated to prove global warming was real when it was not. Man Made CO2 accounts for, wait for it , 10% of all CO2, which accounts for, wait for it, 0.04% of the atmosphere, so mankind in total is responsible for 0.00004% of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere….

I love that idea that worldwide scientists met in secret rooms to make sure that they would get a job. The great Secret Society of Scientists, SSS for short. Meanwhile, people with no knowledge of science (and no desire to learn) discovered thanks to their purity of thoughts that it was all a hoax, they found the secret rooms and the secret mails. They also found the secret mathematic formula that allowed to cancel every research result they didn’t like. The formula is quite simple, just say “I don’t believe you” and the magic formula will change everything around and prove that the research is wrong.

What is so funny is the blaming of all the CO2 in the air from humans while a half dozen or more volcanoes are pouring CO2 into the air many times over what humans do. One volcano can release many more times CO2 in the air than humans do in 100 years. Yes, the climate is warming but it is a natural occurrence and we merely contribute a very slight amount to it. Shut down all the human sources and nature will still do its thing and the climate will still get warmer - before the next ice age.

A few thoughts – Changes in climate, not weather, operate on a time scale of centuries. The planet is warming, just look around. We may be contributing to this, but given the consequences of a warming planet wouldn’t it behoove us to take steps to moderate the effects? It appears that a 5 deg warming will happen no matter what we do, but if we take steps now we may be able to stop it short of 10 deg. This means we will get 120 deg summers in NYC but may be able to stop them short of 125 deg. Your choice, I won’t be here.

Gon FshnFor me, the proof is that every year is getting hotter, polar ice is melting and ocean levels are rising. That is the proof I see.
