Red and Rover by Brian Basset for November 15, 2016
Transcript:
Red: Rover, just because I missed my bus doesn't mean I don't have to go to school. Mom can drive me. Rover: Don't you want to be home with me all day?! Red: Sure I do. Only I'd be playing hooky if I didn't go to school. Rover: Like Pinocchio. Red: Yes, and look what happened to him- he got turned into a donkey. HEE-HAW HEE-HAW HEE-HAW

Trust me, throughout my 56 years, I had many friends who turn out to be donkeys. Others that are not.

That Disney movie gave me nightmares!

I’m in the middle of reading the story. Seems that Pinocchio was not a pleasant lad at all – he culminated his first meeting with the Talking Cricket by smashing its head with a hammer.
Not quite Disney material.

I’m with Rover: It was a perfect foggy November morning today, so I suggested my husband call into work for a “cuddle day.” Oddly, he didn’t think his boss would buy that.. Go figure!

I liked the movie, but the lead character was so…wooden…
