I grieve for my friends south of the border.

Hard to stay away from politics this morning I grieve for this country, and am also frightened of screwing up a relationship I have been in for the past few months with the most incredible man ever. I love him so much, and depression can change everything.

One of my Dad’s friends does photography as a hobby (he’s pretty good too) and he sent Dad some pics he took of an Anna’s hummingbird that was in his garden, it’s really pretty. No orange Internet wire to my house yet (sigh!), but the local utilty company did come and mark their electrical lines so the cable compant knows where they are. So the soonest I get Internet at home inmy next day off (Monday, not Tuesday like I thought). So I’m back at the library this week!

I don’t want to get into a political debate, but the election is over (thank goodness!) and there are a lot of people happy with the results and a lot of people not happy. It would have been the same thing had it gone the other way. But those who are unhappy must not wallow in sorrow (and those who are happy should not gloat). We simply must move on and trust that things won’t be all bad. It’s a matter of hope for the best (even if you are prepared for the worst)k Keep smiling, keep reading Ten Cats and the other comics you enjoy and continue with your lives. Live goes on and so must we (I’m not telling how I voted or how I feel right now).

My two cents worth: this is a huge step back for women and the LGBTQ community . HUGE. I’ve used my my two cents now.

Obama inviting a Ku Klux Klan enthusiast to the White House should make for an interesting atmosphere. Also the first First Lady to have appeared in Playboy magazine. Can I wake up now???

Also, Donald Trump actually had fewer votes than Hillary Clinton in total – by a small margin, granted, only about 200,000 votes. Doesn’t change the outcome, he still won more key states, therefore their electoral votes. But something that should sadden us all is how close these election results were – almost exactly half and half between those who voted. What THAT means is that the US has a very large divide that needs to heal, and an ENTIRE population that needs to find a way to come together. It would have been the same even if the outcome were reversed. And that divide will be very difficult for some people to cross after the bitter, divisive campaign we have just come through, and the inflammatory speech that occurred on BOTH sides. Although much more vocally and repeatedly from Mr. Trump, unfortunately. This will not make his new position easier to transition into. I just hope and pray the US populations can put their animosities behind them and move forward.

I went over to Corvallis to visit him.

Its being decided tonight or tomorrow morning if they are going to try to operate.

Without the operation he will die.

It is likely that the operation will kill him.

Stuff sucks all over the place.
