I will never, ever understand why some women insist on taking their husbands somewhere—like shopping—where the guys will be miserable. Do you really think he’ll tell you if something looks nice? He’ll say anything to get the heck out of there.
Hold her purse? My husband doesn’t even want to hand me mine, he’ll pick it up with his thumb and middle finger and make a face while he gives it to me, he’s afraid someone might see a man holding a purse! As for him going with her, maybe she needs to send him to the husband chair, every store has one or ought to!
Macushlandra meant the time HE’s spent waiting in the car when she had gone into a store for only a minute. Before he takes her shopping, he needs to take double Zoloft… I meant triple.
Gotta agree with Grog ! Only time I EVER wilt and agree to go is if it’s raining pretty bad. Don’t want the bride of 50+ years to be involved in an accident !
Not only do I go shopping with my wife and hold her purse, but I’ll even help pick out clothes for her. Your going to be looking at her in these, why not have imput.
I think I have to agree. I am a woman and I’d rather go by myself. I don’t think it would be fair to put him through that. I really appreciate that he does his shopping by himself too. Of course, I’m not a huge fan of shopping myself

check your hearing aid battery, Earl (there must be something he and Opal like to do together without any bickering)

My hubby went shopping with me because I relied on his taste in my clothes. Besides, if he liked two outfits, I got both of them..

Take a book or magazine. That is where I do most of my reading that is not online.
