The only way to know its disinformation is to know the information and know the signs of disinformation. It takes time and effort which most people just don’t want to or can’t. So a few of us do.

I hope that disinformation is free. It’s awful when you have to subscribe to get it.

Now all we need is for the NYT to ADMIT it’s a disinformation outlet. (“All the news that fits, we print!”)

Wiley probably thinks this is funny. There’s a reason why the “disinformation” and “fake” “news” sources have taken hold so strongly: the “mainstream” sources have failed, presenting only selected views on selected stories. They are no longer credible, so all kinds of alternative sources are springing up. We can only hope that some good new ones will emerge.

This is a serious matter and flippant comments are both unhelpful and, as someone suggested, immature.

If it’s on the Fox propaganda channel, it’s probably disinformation. If it’s in a newspaper (NOT a tabloid!) , it’s probably real. Another problem, of course, is that far too many people can’t tell the difference between news and opinion. Sometimes even opinion columnists and reporters appear to switch places…….

Or, just to read any of your comments.

    .

Based on what? You give no examples just banner headlines which have very low reliability. So prove me an my sources wrong if you dare. You have been belligerent toward me from the start so put up your facts if you have any.

The truth is facts don’t matter with Trumps Chumps. All he has to do is say, “I know things, so trust me.” and they will grovel at his feet. I wouldn’t even trust him as far as I could throw him.

    What

    I find

    more interesting

is that Trump’s rabid fans would be more upset to find that Hillary actually won the election legitimately, both Majority of the populations vote (even with the Republicans repressing as many voters as they could) and quite possibly rigging Electoral votes beyond gerrymandering, than finding Russian sponsored Hackers chose their president. Personally, I’ll always choose the person Putin doesn’t want. So, you Chumps can whine and cry and have your tantrums, but chumps are all you will ever be to me. Little cry baby chumps. Don’t you find it suspicious that Trump made a comment about needing 3 million more votes to beat Hillary’s majority and now it looks like that’s pretty close to what he would have needed to beat her majority? That is one strange coincidence. But of course, it doesn’t fit your narrative, so go ahead, through out ‘I know you are, but what am I.’ and keep your head buried up your rear.

Disinformation, is NOT interpreted information. It is false information presented to form an opinion or draw attention away from the truth. NOT to interpret a truth. Opinions can be based on truth, but truth is not required to form an opinion.

    Sadly,

in the age of so called reality TV, far too many people cannot determine between the difference. Facts hold true whether you want to believe them or not.
