I remember an old strip (but not which one) where the main character wore the same dress every day. One day, it showed her looking in her closet and trying to decide which of six identical outfits to wear.
The 1st one is good, he can wear whatever he wants’ he will be recognized as Baldo. I probably wouldn’t notice if he wore a plain red shirt one day a demin jacket the next and a white shirt the next. I think comic characters deserve a change of clothes sometimes.Look at Ginger Meggs, he Needs to ditch that old thing he has on.
what is with his shoe? has it got a hole in it? It looks like it’s on the wrong foot. a little variety is the spice of life. He needs a bigger wardrobe.

I like the third panel. Simple, but dignified and attractive. A little more mature.

So he does have “other” clothes.
