I almost didn’t see Selfy hiding behind the feed bags in the first frame. I guess Tracy didn’t see him either. So much for taking him downtown quietly.
You can find a short form (I assume it’s short) of Sunday’s strip on the Seattle PI site: http://www.seattlepi.com/comics-and-games/fun/Dick_Tracy/2016-12-04/
You know, Selfy could have just stayed hidden until Tracy left, then sneaked out another way. Now, he’s going to draw even more attention to his actions with an attempt on the life of the city’s top cop, and probably get himself killed in the process. Outright stupidity, fed by panic, has likely killed more villains in this strip than Tracy’s sidearm.
Now if that yellow trench coat doubled for a raincoat, the cattle prod would have lost its purpose. In the worst case, getting hit by a cattle prod isn’t disabling like getting tazed. Moral of the story, Selfy: don’t try to take down someone who packs a Sig Sauer with a cattle prod.
When we get up to the crossover with The Spirit – Which is coming up fast – I hope Mike & Joe present a sweetened, condensed version of his origin in a Sunday strip.
Cattle prods have low aps (that’s what kills you) lots of volts (that just hurts like hell) grape a wire on a electric fence and you will find out. Also it will not make you unconscious.
Ok, you’re a seasoned, legendary cop, you’re searching for a murderer – probably armed and dangerous – in a zoo, and he…….manages to sneak up on you? Ummmm…….
This is outrageous! Everybody knows that Tracy has a whole closet full of striped RED and black ties!
Where did this yellow-and-black one come from? The famous yellow trench coat does not like competing with a yellow tie!
The trench coat helped mitigate the Reichenbach Falls incident; can its sturdy thickness help here? Tracy’s shocked gesture is not exactly hopeful. Even so, what does Selfy think he’s going to do next that will actually help him escape?

I didn’t want to spoil anything, but Sunday’s installment was a waste.

Dick deep in thought
Over the Christmas gifts he bought
When instead he really ought
Keep his mind on the task ahead
Falling for a trick
As old as Rocky’s trainer Mick
Proving Tracy’s not to slick
If to sweet Lena he ends up being fed
Feeling groggy what’s today
Is it Saturday, Sun or Monday
This blasted calendar gets in the way
All I want is a nice firm bed.

Good morning fellow DT fans!

If that cattle prod hurts a large animal, how powerful is the current?

Poor Dick, and he’s not the cop on the street who would have occasion to use such things !

Ruh roh, We know Tracy isn’t going to die, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on Selfy surviving.

Hey, Tracy – in panel 1 you passed something that said “DANGER – Cattle Prod” with the prod missing!

I don’t think there’s going to be a December 4th strip here at GoneComics.

Selfy had a sudden change of mind – opted for the prod instead of the poisoned selfie stick.

Tracy is wearing a yellow tie today to complete his color-coordinated ensemble with his yellow trench coat.

Could Selfie try to shove Tracy in with the water buffalo?
Then the animal goes nuts, and Selfie tries to use the prod for self-defense, but there’s not enough power?

I think Tracy’s rubberized trench coat is going to prove more useful than just keeping the rain off.

**For those that are still looking for Sunday’s strip, I read some of the comics as well as DT at azcentral:

does a trench coat conduct electricity?
AnyFace almost 8 years ago
There’s a difference between a trench coat and a rain slicker, I think …?
AnyFace almost 8 years ago
The colors in the Sunday strips are “Official” colors, and – In theory at least – Should be consistent across platforms.
.
The daily strips are meant to be viewed in black-and-white, any colors added are entirely arbitrary.
.
I’m beginning to wonder if GoComics has opted to drop the ‘Tracy’ Sunday strips entirely.
