Yeah. Take out the 2-gallon flush toilet, and put in the low-flow 1.5 gallon toilet that you have to flush twice to clear. Net savings, -1 gallon each time!
Kinda like the chimney sweep we once hired. They cleaned our chimney one year then the next year they said they couldn’t do it, that it had to have a stainless steel liner. Cost? Thousands. So we put in gas.
Someone was at a ReStore donation center, and was unloading toilets to be donated. A ReStore supervisor came by, and said they could not accept them (to be installed in buildings) unless they meat the 1.6 gallons (or less) per flush requirement.
Who needs a toilet when you got neighbors like mine. With all those trees and bushes on their back property I’m good to go morning, noon and night:) Hah! One even has a stream running behind his property. I can watch my waist just flow away:) You may call me nasty, I call it giving back to nature:)

You can have my three-gallon flusher when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. I’m on a septic tank system.

I once called a plumber to check out a possible gas leak. He ended up confiscating my gas meter.

Was the meter replaced with a working one?

I hope there’s a valve to shut off the water flow once the tank with it’s flotation shutoff valve is removed.

I bet the plumber is just going to install it in his own house.

Dave Barry wrote a couple of columns about smuggling “bootleg” toilets from Canada since they (we) had no restriction on the size of the flush.
