Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for December 07, 2016
Transcript:
Phoebe: What kind of presents do you want this year? Marigold: Oh, nothing too fancy. Perhaps just some moonbeam nectar, served in a crystalline goblet, sprinkled in stardust. Phoebe: I could check eBay. Marigold: Not diet moonbeam nectar. It tastes like mouthwash.

Diet soda is pretty good if you drink it with a high enough ratio to non-diet that you’re just barely aware of something better.

Star dust, not the kind from real stars, but the fantastical kind of myth. Even harder to get than the real star dust.

So pretty! Is there a way, in print size, to make the lights/trees thing work as they are in the first panel but also get Marigold and Phoebe picked out in normal colours? The stars are so perfect, as well, and the positioning of the road, just, the artwork in the panel is not just amazing, and beautiful, but really touches something for me, some sentimentality I can’t articulate well.
