Heck, it has taken forever for the leaves to quit the trees, There are still alot hanging on, with coloir. Though I do have enough to make a leafman like they have.
Snow schmow. I grew up in deep south Texas. From my earliest childhood through the time I left home for college, I can remember exactly 1 Christmas day when the temperature was below 40°F, and at least half a dozen when the temperature rose above 90°F. Snow? Maybe one time during the month of February, and that happened sometime before 1965.
I live in Canada. Last year we were golfing on Christmas day. This year we had a snow storm a week ago and now it’s all gone. I like snow for Christmas as long as it’s gone by boxing day (that’s the 26th for my American friends)
Here in Montana we’re having our second snow (light) right now. Tues. high suppose to be 12 and a low of minus 5. We’ve had a very good Fall and Winter is late coming in. When we moved to Helena in 1980 we had several years of first snows in September and it was never totally gone until Spring. Much milder winters the last few years. You’d be surprised how warm a minus 13 feels after walking several blocks at a minus 43. Ü
No snow so far this year. Here in St. Louis it is hit or miss as to what kind of winter we will have. Could be no snow or the kid could get another 11 days in a row off school. Our local weather guy has predicted more ice than snow this year and I sure hope he is wrong.
JP Yes there certainly should be a law…..or a sign at the very least.
Here in southeast VA a couple inches of the white, fluffy stuff will shut down everything. Since we’re close to the coast, we often get cold rain when the rest of the state gets snow.

I heard it’s going to be in the 30s or 20s this week here in Clark County, Washington.

We have a snowstorm of 2" or 3" every two or three years here in Atlanta. With a little more global warming that nuisance will abate, however.

There used to be a comic in the 60’s called “There oughta be a law!” I wonder if this is a tip-off to that?
